Mac is usually the choice for photo and video editing, so Mac it is if you are serious into editing.
Personally, I got a Lenovo on Win 7. :sweatsm:

Both worked the same for me. Using Photoshop on both Mac and Windows, similar else same interface.

Same interface than why is there still got ppl willing to spent on MacBook? As we all know MacBook is more exp than Window laptop...

Why ppl tend to chose Mac for photo and video editing since they having the same result? Blur Liao...

More of personal preference I suppose. I'm fine with either since both provided me with performance I want.

I have been using Mac for 4 years. Since day one I switched from laptop running Windows to Mac, there is no turning back and regret.

I don want to post my question in apple forums as i want a true real ans from those photography shooting lover here. I love shooting and I don want to get a MacBook pro with regret. Can Mac lover tell me why u all so support MacBook despite of it's high cost?

I've been using macs since 1993. But my suggestion for you would be to use what you're comfortable with (or what you can get comfortable with relatively quickly). Your purpose is to use it as a tool to edit photos. You don't want to be spending your time struggling with a system that doesn't "feel right" for you or doesn't work the way you feel it should.

Personally I am using both MacBook Pro and Windows 7 laptops. Spolit between both but the MacBook Pro I use it for PS and graphic works and Windows 7 laptop for video editing.

Think you should ask if you really need a laptop in the first place. Short of space? Or need the portability?

If not why not consider a desktop? 15" macbook pro easily around 2.5k. At that price, a desktop will easily run laps round it in terms of speed. Not to mention can get a much much bigger ips monitor. And you can get really tiny and powerful desktops too if desk space is a concern.

I have both a MacBook Pro and an iMac. Personally, I'll prefer doing photo editing on iMac because the screen very nice and big, haha... Photoshop / Lightroom seems to run smoother and more stable on Mac in my past experience with Windows. And more importantly, I haven't experienced a system hang / crash on Mac since I switched to it more than one year ago... Haha...

Can also consider a Imac. For $1788 you get a computer with the foot print of a 21.5 LCD monitor.

Use the price of a MacBook Pro and get a Windows laptop 2 times the speed.
