Hey guys, like the title suggests, I would like to know your opinions and when and how much the nikon d90 price will drop to.

Cheers!

the problem is that the d90 is a very very good camera. even with the newer d7k, the d90 still has alot of demand. I think the brand new body would still cost at least 1k for another year. also due to the high cost of d7k at the moment. once shop owners are allowed to sell d7k body only, the d90 price should fall further. But then i have always been bad at predicting, always try to predict 4D but very long never kena already.. sad..

I hope it will not drop as I intend to sell mine D90..can get better price

I don't think anyone can confidently answer this question.

In my opinion Nikon would keep their price stable. They will not let the price drop too much.

And I also couldn't confidently say these, because I don't work for Nikon ...

new D90 body goes for $1210-$1230 currently in the market.

well before the prices really drop, or have to drop (sharply), or whatever related to a drop, don't you think D90 will become part of Nikon history, and become EOL?

in the year 2100, i postulate that the nikon d90 might go for a few bottle caps.

alternatively, maybe you can swap it for a solar cell.

in the year 2800, after nuclear war the price of d90 will soar beyond all belief. this is because it will be the only dslr body which has survived the nuke.:bsmilie:

are you sure you really want to know my opinion now ? :bsmilie:

Eh.. how do you know Mankind can survived till more than year 2800?

The Maya mentioned in 2012 will be wiping out almost half of Mankind due to planetary shift, and then Stephen Hawking mentioned that Mankind will be wiped out if they did not build spaceships and colonised another liveable planets!

By then most DSLRs will be floating like debris in space.

Hi, I am a newbie here and I am actually considering D90 as my entry to photography hobby. I just want to understand a bit more about this D90 and what is the difference between D80 vs D90.

Of course I know D90 is the newer version but with the cost difference, will it makes sense to newbie like us to go straight to D90 or live with D80 since we may not even know what are the difference?

Hope you guys can share.

Not till the D5000 replacement arrives.

hmm....so many people want D90 price to drop further, which means it's really a damn good camera and the demand is still there despite D7000 is already released in the market.

My friend was mad at me selling away my D300s.
He wanna swap with me to sell away his D7000

agree.
but the D7000 was not meant to replace the D90 anyway, right? :dunno:

To what I understand, D7000 is a replacement of D90.
