Hi All,

Anyone here like solid chili sauces? Not the Maggi or Kimball type but really solid hot and fresh tasty ones? I saw John little expo selling this vietnamese one called Sriracha and it looks really solid. Will try when I have time to cook. Anyone also interested in chili sauce like me?
 

i like. but mine is the good old stir fry home made belachan chili. with loads of dried prawns and all the goodies:)
 

Our family all like really hot stuff. Bird's eye chilli (chilli padi) is nice but already not hot enough if don't eat enough. My threshold for fresh bird's eye chilli is like 3 whole pieces. My FIL is at least 10. :bsmilie:

I purchased like some 9 different bottles of hotsauce. Really hot stuff, no contest with chilli padi that one is kids stuff. They use bhut jolokia and also pepper extracts, the latter is the one which is giving all the additional kick.

Eg, your regular bird's eye chilli padi is 50K SHU, hot ones top out at 100-200K SHU.
Dave Ghost Pepper Jolokia hotsauce is like 650K.

I have this, Dave's Ghost Pepper Naga Jolokia hotsauce. Just 1 top part of the very tip of toothpick dipped into the sauce, is like eating one small piece of chilli padi, ie got feeling.
One drop into a cup noodle gives you enough burn and makes you sweat a bit. 10-drops and you will feel a good burning sensation in your stomach and give you involuntary cramps, and your ******* may bleed the next day.

They use very similar stuff for the Hot Buffalo Wings at Sunset grille, Seletar airport. Pepper extracts.

Well, the bottle says made in Vietnam. Anyway, tried it earlier, not too spicy but kick does come in about 2 3 minutes later. Shiok. Won't fry your tongue and kill all your taste buds though.
