So you would agree that FF will soon take over the cropped, and MF taking over the FF place (in Nikon's lineup) eventually? I'm talking about 10 to 20 years down the road that is...
Not sure if you talking to me.. but what the hack.. Not sure if Nikon will move up to MF.. but they may be force to do so... wonder if their lens can handle such resolutions (even if you can pack enough sensors in the 35mm space)...
I am personally looking forward to a higher dynamic range, 16,20 bits sensors depth.. sharpness for every pixel (and software that allow you to do any DOF that you want), depth channel.. etc.... etc..

Well, I'm sure there will be lenses to work for the MFs if Nikon do decide to move up... just as DX lenses may eventually phase out when the DX users beginning to move out of the picture, or at least to towards the collectors / second hand markets...
Technology is moving at such a fast rate that no one can predict what will happen in the future... the cliche "anything is possible" holds true... it's just a matter of time...
