Third Rock from the Sun
I recently bought a 5D as a back-up to my 7D. Of course I did not tell my wife. She would have flipped. But I justify the purchase by thinking that it is my money and I should be able to spend it the way I like.

Anybody else in the same boat? Do I need help? :dunno:

No, but then I don't have a spouse.... :p But I do have my mum and yes sometimes I do hide it. My mum did not know I bought the old DSLR D70 till it was 1 year later!

Not sure why I did not do that when I bought D7k, bought it right in front of her... hahahaha...

Justification - my present for myself lor, and to take photos in the next "big" trip in coming May!!

We dont call our replacement as upgrade, the lens and body will somehow grow bigger and longer..

350D to 1Dmk2 to 1Dmk3....

70-300 to 100-400 to 400 to 500...

And along the way, they have babies...

Actually I Am the ngeow one, always don't want to upgrade. Its my wife who encourages me to upgrade and get all the good lenses.... If not I'd not have gotten the Nikkor 24/1.4 and still use the really old and tattered Sigma 30/1.4. LOL! Last time same story, spend 3k on the D200 first day when its launched, all the SB-900s.......

Not really, I just hide the price....haha a 5d2 with 24-105 was know as $2k. Hope she don't find out

I'm guilty! ;p

Didn't bother to hide. Eventually it will be found out after looking into the dry cabinet. :bsmilie:

i was thinking covering the cabinet with a cloths. or sticker. so it don't look so obvious to the CFO...

:bsmilie: My CFO will check it once in a while.

You will have to build a secret compartment inside your dry cabinet! Perhaps a false rear wall or a false bottom row? ;)

:bsmilie: Too many to hide. :bsmilie: Or rather hiding 'em in such a manner would make it even more obvious due to the size of the equipments.

Am in the same boat as you. But as I delve in HiFi too that's impossible to hide
them floor standing speakers and just wait for the 'tsunami' to come :bsmilie:
