"I own twenty-four D3 bodies, six D3S bodies, one D700, one D300S, and several D300..

wow . . . he is a collector of nikon . . . :bsmilie:

for me, i only have 2 old bodies, 1 new body and 6 lens . . . still working too towards adding more lens etc. :bsmilie:

and he never leave home w/o them :bsmilie:

Wow why does he need 24 of those :dunno:
Over eighty lens
Wonders how much storage space he needs to store all his equipments!

24 x D3? Unless he travels alot and he keeps spare system in each states. Base on his gears, can easily worth ~ .5mil.

Haiz, marketing stuff...
He is better off owning a equipment rental shop for nikon equipments.

wow, that's a rather HUGE collection....

Over 80 lenses leh in his arsenal. With so many gears, I would have confused myself which one to use. He is awesome indeed.

awesome because he can buy gear?

oh dear, our aspirations are so simple today. buying gear is easy, just close your eyes, buy buy buy, eat little, don't go holiday.

wah!! ... I wan 50mm f/1.2 Ai-S ...

Frakes describes himself as a greedy artist in terms of acquiring equipment. "I own twenty-four D3 bodies, six D3S bodies, one D700, one D300S, and several D300 bodies. And my collection of NIKKOR lenses now numbers over eighty."

Do you notice that Nikon D3X not shown in his equipment list?

If I was him, I would sell my twenty-four D3 bodies, and buy a new twelve D3X bodies.

why would someone need so many camera bodies though?
If someone wants to have 2 or 3 (or even 4 or 5) cameras with different focal-length primes at the ready, fair enough... but 24??? Just seems silly.

but who are we to judge...? Look at Jay Leno's car collection...

not you! :)
coz you don't own a Nikon camera...
"suckers" like us are paying for those 'freebies'.... :D

indirectly got lor

imagine, if nikon doesn't pass the costs

it will be more competitive in terms of price

then pentax will have to be more competitive in reaction

and pentax prices will be lower. :bsmilie:

of course.

nikon pass on consumers to the camera totting bak chor mee seller....

he pass on the costs to you.

and it flows down through the meat supplier, mushroom seller, lettuce seller, salt supplier... :bsmilie:

how come people can apply the cascading effect when they complain about gst (which is actually invalid, since registered companies are exempt from gst), but when companies take measures that indirectly increase their costs (and thus prices), this logic is not applied?
