Hi All.

With Macro photography, I need to get up really close to get a shot.
Some macro-lens have a long focal-length to get the 1:1 from farther away.

So, what can I do to have the same magnification from further away?
Anything like a tele-extender or barlow ?

I might be missing something basic.

ok thanks,

Teleconverters "magnify" the image of the existing macro lens without changing the working distance. But with added optics there will be some bits of IQ degradation

Bellow / extension tubes can achieve greater magnification as well but the working distance will decrease.

There are other options of achieving greater magnification such as reverse lens, reverse lens on a lens, dioptres etc but they will not get you increased working distance though.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies.
It seems there is no way to increase the working distance without changing the magnification.
I just need to get a bigger lens...

Yes With Teleconverter and shot at 1:2 set on the marco lens. With that you can shot with the working distance of 1:2 and but you will still end up with 1:1.
