Reading NEF with iPAD

Anyone knows if the iPAD can :

- Read NEF files (Nikon RAW) effectively
- Be used as an alterantive photostorage...during trips with the USB adaptor.

...any other tips would be welcomed.

Yes.

can read, but photos won't look sharp, if you don't mind.

and yes, can use as storage. extracting it may be a problem though.

1. Yes. Ditto Canon CR2 (RAW).
2. Yup. You can either do a direct import (in LR etc) or access the files directly (the ipad appears as a storage device in Windows Explorer).
