Friends of deceased at funeral get aggressive at media presence

They are no different from the 3 accused.

I am begining to doubt all those "good" testimonials .... sad .....

rofl...

"hack me lar. see if u dare!" - cameraman

they just acting cocky cause of the media attention they getting. can pull pattern cause they now "famous" can go on tv. i see this kind of ppl see until dun wanna see already

who are we too judge the friends...

i seen the same at reaction at less profile funeral...

its just a norm...:)

i cannot see the video..........

so the media got family approval to record the proceedings of the funeral?

A friend who stays where the wake was witnessed the whole thing. He said a family member or close friend spoke to the media n they all agreed they will keep a distance to shoot as it was a public area.

When the family members cames out towards the hearse ,all hell broke loose. The poor media guys were hounded, threatened, blocked and chased across the road .There were like,15-20 of them.Although it's an emotional time for all but they behaved like hooligans . I think they don't realise they made the funeral worse by making a scene.

i thought it was nothing wrong to stand a distance away to film.

it's not as if they were shoving cameras into the faces of the family members - frankly speaking, i'm not even sure how the family members felt about the whole issue. i looked at the video and saw a bunch of teenagers, none of whom seemed to be family members, championing the cause of the family, but the ACTUAL family's voice (which would matter much more) was nowhere to be heard.

which leads me to wonder, is this something that those teenagers thought the family wanted, or did they know for a fact that they were distressed despite the (frankly) respectful distance kept by the media?

this is assuming that the media had indeed kept such a distance throughout the entire fiasco.

it seems the media was quite decent. they kept their distance and avoided conflict. i'm more inclined towards the idea of the teenagers acting hero:think:

anyways. someone i know jsut went to jail cause he act hero scratch other ppl's mercedes. the same kind of person who is likely to be like the teenagers. so i not too surprised:rolleyes:

Slow news day huh, how is a funeral newsworthy? Sure the hacking was newsworthy. This, is just milking it for all it's worth.

No need for conflict though. Public place afterall, everyone's free to stand wherever they want.

Think 1 of the clip show a Aunty who also speaking out for the family..

The boys don't look extremely "beng" but guess they are also sad and angry at the loss of their friend...

omg. . it seems the media (these guys) dont know theres such thing as super telephoto photography- videographgy. want to video photo go further dunno how to go further isit??

Actually the media were already quite far away if u noticed.Don't think they are dumb enough to go up close.

To the media,it's just another news-story whether it's a story about a teacher, cleaner, celebrity's wedding, sports, etc.Even if you don't want or not interested to read about certain news, other people may want to.

Like I said before ,a family member came to speak to the media n they all agreed to shoot from a distance but these ah bengs probably act hero and charged at the media creating an ugly scene whcih sadly is not befitting for someone like Darren to go.

I think these youngsters reacted badly by lashing out at the reporters. But I can understand they were upset as their friend had just be brutally murdered.

The news reporters were just doing their job to report news and they were 2 road lanes away from the hearse. I think that is a respectable distance.

 .

Those silly teenagers must have watched too many HK gangster movies is it? They probably think it looks cool and justified to act tough, when all they succeeded was to dishonor their friend's funeral.

Silly and over reacting. Shouldn't they be more focussed on the procession instead? I thought a fight was about to break out. Kudos to the videographer for being professional.

it is too, unclear whether this aunty is part of the actual family, knows the family's feelings, or is merely championing her own impression of how things should be.
