Hi. New here. Would like to know which camera will meet my requirement most. I would like to get a PnS camera. Which of the above will be a good balance for outdoor, indoor and night photo shoot? And to be able to zoom in for some shot too. Thanks in advance.

How can we tell you if which camera will meet your requirements when you are so vague in stating them?

Oops. Sorry. I wanted a PnS camera mostly for family outing. Wanted to get one that can also take good indoor photo as sometimes indoor lighting is poor you get not very nice photo eg photo of person is ok but with poor lighting behind the person or background is dark and color of the pic is not what you see. I used a very old PnS automatic camera so really cant make it if indoor lighting is not bright for the camera. If a DSLR camera that it will be a different thing all together. Have thot of getting a DSLR but find it too big to bring along during outing or going overseas. So I wanted to get a good camera that can do something like the DSLR can. I'm new to this so learning from scratch. Have read up some info on camera in this forum. I'm not a pro but a green horn. Hopes this help a bit... paiseh.

For low light shooting, LX5 or Samsung EX1 will be better.

Other cameras you might want to consider for lowlight are, Nikon P7000, Canon G12, Canon S95.

If you are open to EVIL cameras (electronic viewfinder interchangable lens), try cameras like Panasonic GF1, Olympus EPL1, Sony Nex5 or Samsung NX100.

a lot of small compact sized cameras or micro 4/3 cameras out there now.. you can try any of the recommended shops and go ask them and try it out... take afew models and compare on the spot...

this way you will believe what you see and not what you read or what others tell you...

Oh ok. Thanks for the input. Will go try out the few models mention. Thanks alot.

Cheers
