Selina Jen(S.H.E) suffering serious burns

A member of Taiwan's popular pop group S.H.E was flown back to Taiwan Sunday after sustaining serious burns in an accident while shooting a TV drama series in China at the weekend.

Television images showed Selina Jen returning to Taipei late in the day on a chartered flight from Shanghai.

"I wish I could endure the suffering for her, even at the cost of my life," her father -- known to fans simply as Father Jen -- told reporters shortly after his daughter was rushed to the Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital outside Taipei.

"May Heaven have mercy on her."

He said that his daughter was in stable condition but that it might take her months to recover, declining to provide details of her burns.

The pop star suffered third-degree burns over up to 40 percent of her body, the Taipei-based United Daily News said.

The accident took place when explosives went off earlier than planned, the report said, adding that thousands of fans had added their names to a website saying they would pray for her.

wats the use now to roll that someone's head?

if the damage done to her is badly... it might just be the end of her career.

they can always find someone younger and prettier to replace her.

then she will be forgotten.

that's how cruel this is in this industry.

well. selina is rich... she could live her life as she is...

if she has a nice fanbase, can always write a book, let it sell. or even get a ghost writer to do it for her.
she could still sing... its not like she lost her voice. maybe lost her looks.
plastic surgery is good. she can be up and running again.

on the other hand, who ever is in charge of safety, the head will roll... for if no appropriate action is taken, ppl may assume safety isnt important and there is no reason to uphold it, ppl wont take safety seriously.

low? i call it ridiculous... if it was on a small scale drama/movie, where budget may mean cutting ends, i might be able to understand. but how on earth such a big screw up occurred for such a large scale one?

low? i call it ridiculous... if it was on a small scale drama/movie, where budget may mean cutting ends, i might be able to understand. but how on earth such a big screw up occurred for such a large scale one?

Accidents can happen anywhere, even on mega budget Hollywood blockbuster. It is the human factor that is most important in ensuring a safe filming.

But still it was reported that her face was not affected, only her body was burnt. And nobody here had mentioned that her male co-star suffered even more burnt than Selina, and he had tried to shield Selina, if not her burnt could be worse.

Let's hope she can recover. It is such a pity when a pretty young girl gets injured or disfigured like that. Most probably she'll take quite a while to recover.

I guess Selina is the more well known star, thats why most only talk about her.
