not reared by the temple. u could call them strays temple management don't feed them, so u cant say its from the temple

but those guys are damn smart. they like army like that. 6-7 early morning cuckoo cuckoo, leave the temple. roam one whole day go work, at night come to the tree and sleep. i believe SHliew has a photo of one of them.

if i were a biologist, i would be very interested in the homing instincts and biological clock of these guys.

The complaint is because the roosters 7-early-8-early kao pei kao bo, disturb the residents. TCS free so go see and report lor :sweatsm:

bo kor leng leh:think: i been in that area ever since i was born. those fellows at least 10-20 chicken generations roaming that area. most ppl already got used to them, some even like them. must be some stupid new blood in the area eat finish their chicken rice too free. now aim these poor fellows for their next meal

In fact quite difficult to see nowadays in concrete jungle and also there are less wet markets now. See more of featherless naked chicken on shelves of supermarket and dry markets. ;p

I rear chickens before and people complain they carry SARs virus even though they all lived indoor and do not get in touch with any other animals.

I concur, those chickens has been around the temple since the mid 70s when Bukit Merah View began its influx of residents. Must be some greenhorn whom never seen live chickens roaming free before.
