Some of my friends said that they dun like as it is too standard ... No place for them for creativity. Anyone beg to differ that table shots actually can be creatively too?

There's usually too little space and time for creativity - if you have 50, 60, 70 tables to cover, there's only so much you can do. Sure, you can ask them to stand up, cheer, wave their hands in the air, etc, but that may only work with the youths or the drunk uncles. Most people are just trying to eat and run. :p

The best is to take candid shots. That what my photographer did for my wedding.

i got really creative that wedding.

Don't like also must take. It's pretty much a standard practice for Chinese wedding dinners. It already take a couple of minutes to arrange the people and making sure as many people look in to the camera, multiply that by so many tables...

Climb a ladder and shoot from the top?

Give props for the people to pose?

It depends a lot on the dynamics of the guests too. Try doing anything out of the ordinary for the older folks, then you tell me what their reactions are. :)

If this is Chinese Wedding, it is SOP mah.... not creative also bo pan huat one...

I think only couple photo shoot can more creative moments... during dinner... and events, it is not so easy... and unless you are shooting wedding in a pub, etc.. then, it is a different ball game.... ;p

If you're paid to do a job, whether like it or not; do it professionally and be done with it. If people at the table all give you the passport-look face during the group photo, there's nothing much you can do about it. Many more tables to cover within a short time.

Do you like taking exams? Well, it's all part of being a student.
Do you like filing for taxes? Well it's all part of being a working aduilt.
Do you like paying COE/road tax/insurance? Well, it's all part of being a driver in Singapore.
DO you like dying? Well, it's all part of life.

So do you like taking wedding dinner table shots? Well, it's all part of being an "actual-day" wedding photographer.
