Photo Storage or Print

Hi, just want to check how you guys settle with all the photos you have taken.

Since its all digital, we can easily keep in hard disc etc and store in PC, and view from PC.

Will you be printing most of the photos and album them like when we are in those film dayz?

Cos i check with my friends around me, i could say 90% of them would keep in their storage disc.

Can advise if any one of you would actually print them urself, as in, printers and what would be recommended for the printer. As i have noticed that some photos which might have printed(by printer) some years back has already started to "fade' off.. goes the same to instant photo print from photoshop? When i refer to my old school film photos, all are still bright and clear.

digital copies normally we will store in the hard disk but backup with another.

My wife loves to print out and put in the albums . . . till now having hard time inserting into the albums cos too many. I love the fading as it shows the 'time' it has gone through.

I let the coffeetable album printing companies do the print. I print selectively after each holiday.

Times have changed now. No need to print everything. But now just buy bigger and bigger harddisks.

Still, nothing feels like a photo print, so print selectively and print the best pictures.

For convenience, you can get one of these Canon Selphy printers to print at home. But they are only postcard size. For enlargement you can either go to the shop or get a larger printer. And there are also album printing companies.

I store all my photos in various places and/or hard disks (got burned before... lost lots of images) but I still strongly feel that nothing beats having a printed copy. For this I opted for those photobook type, rather than individual 4R prints that you compile into an album. I use Blurb BTW coz I find their books affordable, and the cost for additional pages very reasonable (at US$4 - US$8 for 40 pages, depending on the type of book).
