I also find that it is not that sharp too and I believe is the case as this shot was taken on one of the edge of a floating platform... It also a windy night...
Hopefully I still have chances to do a reshot of this angle as the place I took this pics is normally close from public.
1st of all, shoot at the building directly and find the correct exposure on the building, let's say the correct exposure is 5 sec
And now u wanna take the whole of 1st pic and the exposure time was 20sec,
use a black card to block the lens that expose the building( u can use live view mode to check) before u press your shutter. Continue hold up your black card to cover it until it reach 15 sec and immediate release your black card to allow the remaining 5secs to exposed the building to your lens.
There u r, an evenly expose pic.
This is the pic that i took with Black card
ISO 100
F11
30" secs ( to create a smooth clam water surface, at the same time the building will not be over expose )
Btw, despite my numerous attempts, the MAYBANK logo in yellow is always overexposed. Unable to make out the entire word Maybank; just an entire yellow rectangular bar. Any idea how to control the exposure to make it visible?
