These past year basically everywhere i go, like MRTs, shopping malls, buses etc there will be ppl holding iPhones, from students to the working class to the elderly. For those tht dont hv a touchscreen phone, do you often hv this temptation to get one when seeing as such? How do you feel?

i get a goodphone for its horse power... hence my choice for hd2. prior to that, using the old nokia black and white phone:p

and yes, majority is iphone user. i'm a minority with a hd2. am i depressed? no. do i feel left out cause everyone is iphone? no.

i'm more geeky than ur avg handphone user. most ppl jsut dl apps from apple and use. some who are slightly more proficient goes to jailbreak it.

i'm not an iphone supporter. once u look past the advertising, iphone isnt that glamorous. maybe because i'm using a hd2, hacked to fit android, i dun have a need for an iphone;p

Considering the amount of cheap touchscreen phones these days, I don't think it's a matter of temptation... I'm not saying iPhones and the such are cheap, but there are cheap touchscreen phones (like mine). But I do wonder why so many people have iPads these days, they're just playing games or listening to music on a bigger screen. There are people who use it for educational software to educate their kids, and that's fine, but most of the time I just see people playing games or listening to music.

Yeah rooting ftw. I'm on Froyo :)

ipad is just an oversized iphone. larger screen thats all. processor 1ghz.

my hd2 has same processor speed

The other day I was at a hawker center, one of the "clean table" guys was wiping down a table near me. His phone rang and he pulled out his iPhone 3gs.

Me iz sad.

wake me up when there's a decent touchscreen without a camera.

:sticktong

No.
Who cares?
Other people buy iphone for their own reasons.
They are not wrong.
U buy your mobile phone for your own reasons.
U are not wrong either.
Stick to what works for U.
Nokia e71 is just right for me....now if only silly Nokia is smart enough to improve the lens to Carl Zeiss lens and make the cam 10 MP instead of only 3.2MP.
The "surfing" aspect of mobile phone is useless to me. What is the point of trying to surf on that puny little screen.
You can spoil your eyesight rapidly trying to surf on small mobile phone screens of any brand.
Terrible mistake in the Nokia e72 - they removed the IR port that was in the e71. This is a very important and unique feature of Nokia E71 missing on the E72. It enables the phone to be a Universal IR Remote. It also allows rapid transfer of files from PC to mobile or from mobile to mobile. (no need to sync Bluetooth, set passwords, etc... for that once-off file tx)

no offence... iphone is not as nice as it seems. am a current owner .. pros and cons.

even touchscreens. i guess its just me.. I prefer qwerty phones running on windows or symbian. the current androids with qwerty like motorola milestone is really tempting

My old sony ericcson suffered much abuse: Dropping from a storey down, dropped from my hand a few 10 times, dropped into basin when washing hands, still surviving with only a few scratches until one day i went swimming with it. Tht killed it.

So everyone is right and no one is wrong. :vhappy:

Using the iPhone and the E71, both work well in their own way. Phones are just tools. There's no need to feel jealous about them.

I am using those non color handphone. I feel pretty fine cos I am comfortable with that. I think end of the day, it is the user who has to feel comfortable with what they are using. ;)

Are you a student? NS boy? Or bored out of your pants? :)

There is no need to envy, or maybe you need a hobby / social network which keeps you busy so you stop asking questions like that...

Enjoy life, with or without an iPhone or the like.

I was a non supporter until my Nokia Navigator 6110 died. (being a Nokia supporter for close to 10years) And by then, my contract already over so was out looking for a phone.. all so expensive (nokia smart phone was ard $800+ with contract then) and when I look at iphone (S$188 with contract then for 16Gb), so cheap. and when I do my maths, I actually save on my monthly bills. Was paying above $80 per month and now only about $50+ per month. I even saved on buying an ipod for my music. After using it for more than 1 year, I jail broke it and loaded load it with the apps that I wanted. What more can I asked for?

Now with almost unlimited data usage, I can read my emails on the go, surf CS when I'm bored. In short, I saved $$ and got extra benefits.

What I liked about iphone is the "unlimited" free applications.

Nope, not using one, and till they can be considered good phones not buying one neither. Currently using Sony W902, I charge it once every 3-4 days (I know someone who charges his iphone 3 times a day - heavy phone user, and I know most people charge their iphones once a day, and yes, they all say its the apps that drain the batteries), I can answer my phone with one hand, and put it on speaker phone (nice and clear) within 2 seconds while driving - no need for bluetooth speaker or anything.. Until the iphone reaches that level of phone usability I am not interested in getting a gaming machine for my son to drain it day after day! :)
