Looking for a pair of good but not those chunky type karaoke speaker which i could mount in the bedroom.
Pls provide link if possible. Thank

BMB of course if its meant for Karaoke.

My BMB CS-252 speaker and BMB DA-X2 amp still sounds as good after 14 years.

Look at those BMB in KTV, blasting everyday.....:sweatsm:

BMB seems like the popular ones but they are quite chunky right? I think Bose speakers are quite cool.

Visit 10 different good KTVs (as in not a hole-in-the-wall type) and check what brand of karaoke speakers they use. Karaoke speakers are not HIFI. They are purposely designed to be highly coloured to make lousy singers seem better.

you may want to consider active speaker. no messy wire, no extra amplifier. just plug the source into the speaker can play liao. some quite nice sounding. KRK quite cheap. http://www.krksys.com/product_r6.php#

Karaoke speakers are different from normal hifi speakers. Karaoke speakers are designed to handle the stresses of ppl singing/screaming into the mike. If you use normal speakers, it will probably blow the speaker cone. Thats why KTVs uses those chunky BMB types and BMB is probably 1 of the popular brands for karaoke speakers.

blow the cone? used to have a 6" speaker, blasted it with pop rock music at 12 o'clock, no problem.

maybe for durability or when someone too busy with something else and drop the mike...

Seng Heng at Adelphi for BMB, MIPRO
KEC also sells BMB 65643188
AVone sells KPRO, BMB 63370080
City Electronics 63374477

ok. I didn't know they are different. Found these explainations on the diff betw the 2. But I still don't understand. Isn't playing movies, soundtracks equivalent to singing?

"Here are the main differences between vocal speakers and home theater hi-fi speakers.

- Professional vocal speakers offer more vocal clarity with 2 tweeters in some high end models.
- Most Hi-fi speakers are not designed for live vocal frequencies so the vocals sometimes sound distorted or muddy and suppressed when singing or speaking loudly.
- Professional vocal speakers offers feedback reducers or eliminators so it will not damage your speakers.

Professional speakers are perfect for public announcements (P.A.), lectures, singing or any live audio imaginable."
