i actually like AA batteries and i'm sure there are others who feel the same way so its fortunate that they have given consumers the option to get the AA battery adapter.

i've never used the video function on my k-x before :bsmilie:

but i agree with u... its not worth upgrading from a k-x to a k-r... better to upgrade to a k-5! :thumbsup:

Not only rechargeable but still can use the normal AA battery with adapter. This is a plus point.

You are ignoring the most important part, the AF system, which is to be frank the big gap between P and C/N even S.

Now K-r has the new SAFOX IV AF system, which is basically the one in 645D (SAFOX IV+),
and THE AF assistant beam which I am longing for years!

2. 3" 920k LCD
3. Dual power souce (AA/Lithium batteries)
4. AF adjustment
5. AF assistant light
6. Improved AF system (SAFOX IX vs VIII)
7. Infrared data transmission (come in handy if you wanna show photo instantly on projector after taken)
8. Better looking (to me at least)

I like AA as well... but the option for rechargeable is definitely a nice touch.

So much links and photos, when everyone else were looking everywhere for info.


Have to agree with all your points, and it does look better with the rubberized grips. Its really a Kx 'extra' 'extra', and Kx was a very good performing camera to begin with. Looks like most of the issues on Kx are fixed (ie. mainly on user interface).
Too bad no top LCD.


I don't know about the DA35/2.4 though....
The colors are nice and its good to be small and cheap, but is f2.4 really enough to pull in potential buyers when they would just look at specs and declare that others have 35/1.8 or 30/14, 30/2, etc?
Maybe image quality would be good and it even focuses up to 30cm, but most potential buyers would just look at numbers rather than sample shots which are typically harder to find.
