It's a tactic they use to attract people. Sad to say.

I wouldn't pay money for them to sell me a package.

Btw price higher than the advertised price is to be expected.
That is why I prefer to diy my own vacation.

whatever package you take...just make sure got enough of the travel budget if got Tipping just in case.

before you sign up anywhere, better clarify with the counter staff like:
1. in europe, go to museum, need to pay for entrance fees?
2. is food catered?
3. how much to tip the local tour guide, driver and agency guide?
4.

i'm actually looking @ taiwan & korea for dec holiday, but each agency i approach @ the natas fair quote me HIGHER & HIGHER!! $1.3k for taiwan 6days!? :dunno:

yup, holiday in taiwan is getting more costly. used to be very cheap..

but going to Australia will cost twice that amount
