1. in what area is critique to be sought?
Composition, lighting, colour, angle

2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
a smooth stream of traffic flowing towards and away from the horizon

3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
Just taken to sorta show the evening when everyone gets home from work or school

4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
I think its an ok picture for my first try with filters. i wished the horizon was brighter and the streams of light abit brighter :D

The idea is good, but did you tweak the colour balance? Overdone it, perhaps...

Vehicles moving away from the photographer should leave trails of red and those moving towards the photographer should leave trails of yellow/white. Then will give a feel of traffic moving in two opposite directions. Thanks.

never edit at all, it came out like this
and fyi, u can still see the back light of the traffic flowing towards the camera
and thats also why the colour on that side is much brighter because of the front head lights

cant help the colours if it come out like that lol
im guessing its partially the colour of the sun setting reflecting on the filter and smthing like tt
lol

Composition is good, and luv the color tone (be it PP or not).

This frame really has potential as an abstract piece. You might wanna think out of the box in the presentation, eg do a slanted crop, apply warp etc.

Another suggestion, I m distracted by the horizontal lit line on the right. Would clone it off if I were you.

Even though it came out like that, you should have done some work to adjust it back.

I like the red sky. But the lights from oncoming traffic being red give it away.

Perhaps a different treatment of WB to different parts of the picture and merged using layers will be nice.

I guess TS used a ND filter which gave a strong red cast ( can google about this problem online). At least, my cheap ND filter gives me this red-cast problem too. I usually minimise it be tweaking the custom WB.

yeah i just confirmed that problem when i went to the beach with the cheapo ND filters

anyway thanks for all the critique ... will take note of all the problems :D
