Since we suck in soccer , why dont they train us in boxing?

Singapore, as a rule of thumb, sucks in most.... if not all type of sports. Since alot of S'porean are against the 'import' of sporting talent... and we, ourselves, sucks at sports. I suggest we just give up totally..... save all the $$$$. :think:
you reckon that it is possible that we could try to install "buffet eating", "elevator taking" as sports? :bsmilie:

Athletes must train young, some even skip school just to train, at the age of 7, how do you tell your parents that you prefer to train than study?
We Filipinos also spend more in Basketball than any other sport, even if Boxing, Billiards and Bowling give the most pride.
At the end of the day, sports need sponsors and companies put their money where there's better media mileage.

boxing even more difficult ba. soccer if lucky still can score taiko goals or held a good team to a draw and win by penalty.
anyway why Olympics refuse to include bowling? much higher chance to get a medal in that.

if I remember correctly, there was once a petition to include Billiards and Bowling to the Olympics.
One of the weirdest articles I read mentioned that in Bowling and Billiards, some players can smoke and drink while competing. This is one of the reasons why both sports are not included... yet.
