For owners of both Sirui and Benro tripods, comparatively, which is better in terms of build quality and functionality? Thanks.

Which range of tripod are you comparing????
Do you know even brand like Weifeng, Vanguard & Silk have good and stable tripod?
But just that weight is an issue to some people.
i using benro and so far it never give me any trouble at all be it the leg or ballhead ...
i use it on mud, sand, seawater also no problem

I own both Benro's combination of ball head & tripod and Sirui's combination of ball head and tripod. In my personal experience, Sirui's combination and the accessories that comes with the combination, give me better value of money as the combination gives the following:
-- tripod with one leg detachable as monopod
-- detachable leg comes with wrapping for comfortable grip
-- accessories to attach to detached leg and complete it as a full monopod
-- tool for fastening purposes
-- one long and one short column provided
-- built-in spikes inside the each leg when using tripod on soft grounds
-- tripod bag with shoulder straps to contain all the above
-- compact traveling ball head comes with quick release plate
-- quick release plate comes with anti-rotation latches to prevent SLR body from rotating
For other brands, you may have to pay for the additional items in addition to the basic tripod.
That will really depend on what are the tripods that the owners have isn't it? Not targeting any particular tripod range.
Just want to have a general feedback from owners of both Sirui and Benro tripods that's all.
Benro got good ones and not so good ones. Sirui have good ones and not so good ones. So far, I like the travel tripods from Sirui more. And I the one I got I like a lot, a basic T-1004x tripod. But I do not use Sirui's ballhead. I use manfrotto. Not that the sirui ballhead is no good, but I am using RC2 now and want to stay with RC2.
Sirui for me... because it comes with 6 years warranty. this shows that they are very confident in their product.. 
As an add-on, some Benro tripods have a steeper markup in Singapore compared with the Siruis sold locally. Technically both have their pros and cons, thus you have to ask yourself what are you paying for?

Benro is cheaper in China than in SG. Sirui is about same price in China and in SG even with the GST. So do the math. Sirui is considered the "higher" brand when compared to benro in China. Markins not as popular among the high end users in China, they go for Kangrinpoche. And manfrotto is hella expensive in China. so when I walk around with manfrotto legs and bh, people all look at me as if I am some orang kaya rich dude... funny. In Singapore, many people see manfrotto no up.
