AIPO Dry Cabinets

Hey i saw the AIPO ads on this forum and it seems like AIPO is a very common chosen brand for quite a number of dry cab users. I saw a brand (forgot its name) today selling at harvey norman which looks quite nice but like $50 + - compared to AIPO's and was tempted to buy but didnt cos it means i had to carry it home.

So i wanna ask if AIPO is really a good brand or what? Its just a famous brand? Are there any types that are good for recommendations? OR maybe you wanna state which brand are you yourself using?

Theres a few brands of electronic dry cabinet that are more commonly mentioned like Digi Cabi, Aipo and Akarui from $100 onwards. Some has analog while some are digital displays/settings. There is free delivery as well from the mass sale sellers.

I think the one you saw at $50+ is a dry box (no need electricity supply)?

Most of these brands have 5 years warranty (correct me if im wrong). Im using the Akarui E26 that holds 23 liters. Enough to hold a body+grip and 2 to 3 lens with some room for filters/hoods. So far so good for the past 2 years.

I think what TS meant was the price difference between the one he saw is $50+ as compared to the AIPOs.
TS, if I'm not wrong, the one that you saw at Harvey normal should either be a DigiCabi or Akarui and with analog controls, where as AIPOs are digital controls.
DigiCabi do have dry cabinets with digital controls to and is similar priced to the AIPOs, not sure Akarui though.

All 3 are popular brands, and they have their fair share of satisfied and unsatisfied customer.
It's more of a preference i guess.

Yeah, mis-read. haa. I have not seen Akarui in digital so far. The Digi Cabi seems a little flimsy for the smallest size + the cheapo looking battery operated hygro, thus i went for the Akarui which had a better build. With more budget, go for Aipo.

and anyway AIPO is having their national promotion so its a little tempting, but people says tat analogs are better!

I have a AIPO. For me, it is a matter of personal preference. Prefer digital reading and LED lights, and best of all, temp/humidity display does not require the use of a separate AA battery.

The mode of display doesn't say anything about the accuracy of measurement. Shiny digital figures that are off are not really helpful, right?
You can get an additional hygrometer from DIY shops, a friend got one in Sim Lim tower. Do the salt test if you want to see how accurate it is. +/- 5% is still fine, cameras are not herbs or old books

Haha. True. But I agree that the use of separate aa batt for digital is not better than using analogs.
