We welcome all newbis,pro and these who just started macro-close up photography. Don't have to be pro to join this Gathering. let us all share and learn idea from each other

Insect macro photography is Excellent and beautiful.it can be hot,tired etc.
But after all the tried,and feeling the heat. it pay off with a nice picture ​

Insects belong to be of animals called arthropods means jointed feet
group of animals includes scorpions, crabs, centipedes and spiders, most inportant about insect photography
under stand their movments and where they hang around in park and natural area.

Life of a Insect is going to be a new free and easy club for Macro phototgrapher to take picture and learn about insects from each other..

we can plan more outing on insect marco photography around singapore and find new macro ground

what you need to bring

- Macro Lens
- optional If you don't have any macro lens. You can use any macro fliter or Raynox DCR - 150 or 250 Raynox or any fliter can add to your kit lens or other lens best to add on a prime lens not advice on tele zoom lens

Inportant for macro photography-Diffuser

can be any form go to my blog and take a look at my diffuser setup

It can be make of styrofoam or polystyrene plate

{Where can i get the plate from?}

You can get it from SKP,NTUC,Gaint any supermarket around local area that sell party ware item.

what you should bring during macro shoot

Towel,Water bottle. Option to bring: Tripod. If you feel tripod or monopod is comfort for you it no problem to use for macro close up shoot.

To: poeple who New to macro photography, Don't have to worry there is some Friendly Seniors tell you the basic.

After the shoot out we share our shot of the day at Mcdonald.

Hi , I am newbie in photography and was stun by your insect Photo .Want to learn from you. Currently i just purchase Sony Nex-5 , I am think of getting a adapter , sothat i could use Sony alpha Lens . Would like to seek your advise , which len should I go for ? And can I use Nex 5 for your outing ?

Hi dawngel, there are alot of threads in here where you can search on DIY diffusers. Commonly DIYs are drinking Meiji Milk (The big Plastic bottle that comes wif a handle??), cut to a desired height as tall or taller by abit of your flash; punch a single hole on each side and use an elastic band which will secure the diffuser to your lens. Think - Catapult. ;p

17-55 has macro capabilities but has limitations. Suggest you get a raynox for macro - cheap and good. Then u can decide if you wnt to invest in a proper macro lens. Cheers!

I am actually intending to bring the plate Ben suggested and get you all's help to make the diffuser..haha
I hope I won't be scared by the insects during the session haha..
