then your new place is near your parents' place? confused :dunno:
otherwise studio one place, equipment another... something doesn't quite tally here...

After that talk, I was tempted to buy a couple of red-heads with barn doors....

But the strobes in his studio are Elinchromes u know...
that day, 'castwind' was attending the talk, so we used his equipment for the demo shoot :)
Quite impressive output. Can't imagine how POWER the elinchromes will be

my knock off time nt stable ma so better nt put. u expert in landscape
my knock off time also not stable... hahaha sometimes mad rush to make it.
New job not so crazy... Now still have quite a lot of time to TCSS on clubsnap :D

....and i'm far from being an expert

Urgh. Just found out I got shingles.

Okok, tis one gd for a start but not substantial.. Can buy lar.. try try play play..

Personally i prefer softbox on heavy duty lightstand. More concetrated and diffused.

i find umbrella throw too much light forward and spread them out unevenly, and it tends to carry wind with it, so if say on a wind location, u really need to make sure tt u got a reliable weight at the bottom of it to prevent it from toppling over..

Softbox ... isnt this just for head and shoulder shots?
Umbrella can cover more of the person?
Sorry, newbie here ...

Can check out this one.
Buy already bring out to let us try...

or if you require portability, maybe this instead?

First one look good, but then will underutilised leh ... and I think i should get something that use my 580EX if not become white elephant. So dont want more lights, except maybe 480EX ....

Second one, design for preofessionals .... means if i buy , waste money

"Shingles isn't infectious in the same way as chickenpox, where the virus can be passed on to other people through coughs and sneezes. However, the virus can be passed on by direct contact with fluid from shingles blisters, until they dry up and crust over. This can cause chickenpox in people who haven't had chickenpox or the chickenpox (varicella) vaccine. If you have shingles, try to avoid contact with babies, pregnant women and people who have a weakened immune system."

So Wildcat, you are hereby quarantined... :)

Get plenty of rest, enough water, and get well soon - your immune system is pretty low (late nights are not good).

How apt.

From Wikipedia
However, during the blister phase, direct contact with the rash can spread VZV to a person who has no immunity to the virus. This newly-infected individual may then develop chickenpox, but will not immediately develop shingles. Until the rash has developed crusts, a person is extremely contagious. A person is also not infectious before blisters appear, or during postherpetic neuralgia (pain after the rash is gone). The person is no longer contagious after the rash has disappeared.

Lol, you'll be fine lah! Just be careful with the young ones and old folks around you. :bsmilie:

Wow, the way it sounds - "Until the rash has developed crusts".... reminds me of "Alien" the movie... Kekekeke! Cheer up man! Staying happy boosts your immune system.

your lighting setup seems quite good :) A lil' strong though, but I think it's necessary for TV recording (Can You Serve?)...
