Went to catch the latest LDC show and loved it but....what's killing me is...did he finally get to go back to his kids?

Seems like he didn't.

This 'inception' is driving me mad.....

i think he did, remeber he was fetched up by his father(i assume that' his father-the architect he first approached) at the airport

and it seems Fischer didnt know him while their in the immigration....

Thanks for the response....that's what I thought but:
...his totem didn't stop spinning at the end...it seemed it had stopped but then the movie stopped.
...how did his father know he is coming back?

.....it's a brilliat show in that the it leaves this idea in your mind to play with your mind...it in itself is an inception!

it kept spinning, but at the end it seemed to wobble.
Cobb awakens on the plane to find everyone well, including Saito, who honours his agreement. He finally returns home and spins his totem spinning top on the table but is distracted by his children outside. The top keeps spinning and starts to wobble slightly as the film ends, leaving the question of whether Cobb is still dreaming unresolved.

i think they want an open ending, where you keep guessing.

the concept was not fleshed out well though.

the projections, sometimes it's somebody's sometimes it's somebody else's.

who decides whose projections these are?

LOL, I had to admit, it did trouble us at the begging also... did the tell tell???? But who's to say, maybe it will be like the matrix, another trilogy in the making?

Oh gosh. There's already a war in my class over this. I can forsee a war coming here over this as well.:bsmilie:

Alright, who stayed all the way until the last bit of the credits rolled up just to see if there was a sneaky last ending? :bsmilie:

Sat through all the way, no sneaky stuff at all. And I belong to the camp which believes that Cobb wasn't in dream-state. Meeting his kids and getting to see their faces was the reality he was waiting for all these years.

at the end, the top continued spinning non stop.

Remember it was mentioned that in the dream world, the top doesnt stop.

I think , as much as it is a stroke of ingenuity to have the plot and title of the show align with how the audiences would feel, I don't like this type of 'hanging' feeling.

Perhaps they can come up with an alternate ending - like ' I am Legend' where Wil Smíth's character lives to tell the tale.

He's still in a dream. His kids didnt age at all.
Imo, everything is still a dream, the purpose of all his dreams was to
confront his guilt. Maybe the father had him on a dream to 'cure' him,
everything was made up in his dreams to convince him. :sweatsm:

the final scene was a dream.

totems are not really meant to validate whether you're in a dream or not, but rather, and more importantly, whether you're dreaming your own dream.

Ooooouwww... they're just toying with our minds... saying we could be still dreaming when watching the show.... period... end of discussion. Now time to wake up from my layer 9, I forgot to turn off the stove in my layer 7...
