$1 Tripod???

this is very interesting. it does work cos it works like the omipod. just that you need to hold upwards to tighten the string. But i feel a bit redundant. haha.

I came across this and was wondering does this seriously works???

It works very well if your camera do not have a viewfinder.
My old Fuji Film Z30 doesn't have any "real" image stabilization like sensor shift and optical stabilization.

The so call picture stabilization in the camera is to increase ISO and shutter speed, which lead to noise in the picture.

I create the string tripod and added "weight" to the snall compact Z30, which is very light.
The string tripod helps to reduce the ISO down from ISO400 to ISO200 and I get a better picture.

Hopefully I can use tat to do my star trail. No need to lug ard my tripod anymore

Ingenious! How simple ideas are then fabricated into sophiscated ones to attract enthusiasts! Maybe, can use those cheap mini tripod, and then adapt something similar with no more cost!

hmmm....maybe u can come up with a design??:bsmilie:
