Hi guys,

I will be heading to Bangkok next week and I read a few blogs that the camera and lens there are generally cheaper than other countries.

Like to seek your comments and experiences if any.

It might make sense for Nikkon stuff given the manufacturing plant in Thailand, but does it also applies for other cameras like Sony and Canon also?

Also if you have any recommended shops for the lobangs I can visit, feel free to comment. I only know of this AV Center at Pantip Shopping Mall

huh???? it was actually more expensive when i went BKK, even the locals said that S'pore is cheaper

I bought my Nikon SB-900 Speedlight at this shop last year. I saved S$90.

Hmmm.. grey???

Last time i was there (abt a yr back), almost everything is more exp than sg

not anything cheaper in Bangkok i think...

If to buy camera gear in bangkok, I will only get accessories which I couldnt fin din SG. eg, Skooba camera strap

i got my lowepro mini trekker here, at about $30 cheaper than singapore

Frankly, I never check whether it is grey or not as long as I am not buying the body. Using Nikon stuff for more than 16 years, I have faith with Nikon (very reliable and well built). That one year warranty is not important to me as much as saving S$90 (reference to S$670.00). Btw, I bought it on September 2009.
