Joined this morning's shoot by Modelinn.

She's Sylvia from Beijing. Just natural sunlight & some reflectors when necessary. Unfortunately, she didn't have a good day to start, developed rashes & hence some red patches on the neck which I can't rid off in my PS6.

Please crit. Thanks :D

nice attempt here. but I'll choose a spot that is evenly shaded ...i.e. avoid the hot spots on her skin

nice series,
I like the dress and her hair , fits her well :)
fav is #1, #2 and #8 pity for the rashes ...

nice series dude, no.2, 3, 4 & 6 for me..:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I like this photo. I feel you should shot closer and just concentrating on the face and the pose. Just my 2 cents...
Keep trying.

hmm just some thoughts,

I would prefer to have a tighter crop, as right now the bokeh is pretty messy, and the background is still cluttered. if u notice the BW one that you did, the cluttered background took much focus off the model already, even with the bokeh. Maybe next time if you encounter situations like these, try a different composition, take a few shots with different crops then go for the kill with the best composition.

Thanks sm489. I showed #2 as I like the way her fluffy dress flows & I should have tighter shots of this pose.

Hey that's true. Actually, I do have some tight shots but realised that I always like to do 3/4 shots & include surrounding elements. Thanks for the thoughts, let me look into this & choose one.

Nice shots and nice colors Jon

Nice series :)

Thanks for swinging by & the comments, guys.

I don't know why but the arched back in #5 does not do it for me... kinda like a hunched back. The side on shots should have accentuated her curves and bring out more.

Second that !

The bokeh is pretty messy.
Even if TS used the lens 135 f/2, that won't help much if the picture wasn't composed well.

actually, i would say this background was much more difficult to compose than purely depending on bokeh. :) haha but I am also not implying that good bokeh will eliminate compositional flaws. dont get me wrong

You meant the last 3 shots? That called for a shorter lens then due to trees behind us. Maybe should've shot @ larger apertures with 50mm.

Hi brother,

Nice shot nice series, may i know what lenses you used ?

I thought this is amazing. The bokeh is special and the model pops out. Which lens did you use for this.

Hi guys, most of these were nikkor 80-200D @ 2.8. A rather old lens but very capable. Most shots @ 2.8 should yield something like that.

Thanks for the comments, she looks quite different & prettier when Ivan shot her
