3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
Walking across this PIE or KJE? Saw that there are more cars 'Returning' From town area rather then 'Going' towards the city. Perhaps they were going home from work...

4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
Personally think that this picture is very meaningful as it shows how rush the traffic is in just a few second...

Shutter: 30Sec
Iso: 100
Exposure compensate: -3 step
Aperture: F/22
Focal: 20mm (On 35mm)

So what did you want to achieve with this? Portray the rush, show dynamism? You should always shoot for a reason IMHO.

How I think this shot would be great....

is to wait till... the other side which you'd mention is very busy with vehicles ...showing them all " jammed " and stationary, and on the other side is empty without a single trace of vehicle movement...

this will give the viewer a very clear message, rather than this shot here.

and allow me to put it, to create this shot..almost every one can do it.

but, to produce my shot...then you've got to be lucky, or patience enough to wait for that jam coming.

Neither the exposure or composition make the mark. Plenty of room for improvement.

maybe try around 7.00 ~ 7.15 pm. during the weekday.

if ts can balance the left ie, more red color light trail (tail light) to the right white color light trail (head light), than it may be more interesting.

also, is can zoom in more to show the filter lane for both direction (far ahead as u may notice) than it may show the title "Left & Right".

Took this around 9Pm... Tried out 7pm first, but it was quite bright when the picture come out... (On that day) Will try another day.

Mind telling me more about the exposure and composition for this kind of shot?

Oh... Perhaps its my title which didn't show clearly... Was meant to show the traffic between the left and right lane.
