ya dunno what germany doing..:sweat:

there will be NEW world cup champion! Spain or Netherland~~ :cheergal::cheergal:

Their Octupus told the Germans not to win, haha....

Germany's game is dependent on passes. Spain's game is to interrupt other team's passing ability. So it was the perfect way to disrupt the geman style.

damnit... the octopus was right again!

YESSSHHH SPAIN!!!

The way the keep their possesion should be the way to play...nice..

SOTONG CURSE!

Stupid octopus... will eat some sotong balls during lunch for revenge

Well maybe the germans underestimated the spanish. The octopus also predict spain will win the world cup. Then again, the octopus did make a wrong prediction before. Anyway i don't believe in such things. Just look at mani the parakeet. One wrong prediction and people are already calling it a wannabe, but paul the octupus made a wrong prediction before too but is still treated like a celebrity. Some people just take the predictions too seriously. :bsmilie:

YES!!! SPAIN!!!
Because Spain has a stronger mid field than Germany.
And Young Germans is less experiences than Spain.

Damn boring to watch spain play though. Pass pass pass pass pass pass pass...fizzle...pass pass pass pass pass pass pass....fizzle...repeat for 90mins. Heck for all their passing, their only goal came from a corner.

Worth every bit of my precious waking minute just now to watch the Spanish cooking German sausages...

Think for Spain, they've always been strong in their midfield and no matter how the Germans crowd ard them, they were still able to regain possession. And Spain does not over-rely on one type of pass coz they're good in both short and long passes (long passes thanks to Xabi Alonso) so the Germans were probably taken aback how well they kept their passing game. People may complain it was a boring match, but those who did, are probably rooting for Germs coz I just know, I was awed by the Spanish passes!

Viva La Espana!!!

Ps: My jersey reads 14 Alonso btw.

hahaha... yeah... i was thinking... wtf? exhibition match is it? :bsmilie:

from what i see, the geman is very less aggressive compare to the previous matches. probably they drink too much( early celebration) , all still sleeping.....they underestimated Spain

Me don't think so. I think Spain style of playing, possessing the ball as long as they can and seemingly use such tactic to force their way of pace into the game. I think is a very good tactic.

I can see Germany trying to attack, but how to attack when Spain trying to keep the balls with them as long as they can. As Rashkae said, Germany style of attacking just don't work out well for them when facing such tactic.

I also think the more experience Spain is definitely showing its ability. The younger German team is outclass in this game.

Very true. In fact you can see that even when the Germans were trying to close Spain down in the 2nd half, Spain could still retain back their possession even in the tightest spaces. In other words, Germans' defence had no idea how to counter Spain's overwhelming midfield which seemed to have the ball glued to their feet everytime. The Germans were just relying on a counter-attack that could happen anytime, which once it almost was a penalty, but problem was Spain's defence was as fast and resolute as they could counter.

Its funny that Spain started the World Cup as favourites and falter to become an underdog just coz of the opening match with Switzerland. And people kept writing them off with their unconvincing 1-0 victories. Even the fans like myself did not dare to hope for too much. But the truth is, Spain was underperforming all the way from the start. We all know what the team is fully capable of esp to thrash other teams from Euro 08. For an underperforming team to reach the World Cup finals, doesn't that say a lot about the quality of the team?

Fyi, I still am not 100% convinced they would win until the day comes. :)
