I saw the advertisement of Malaysia Airlines saying that flights from SG to SH (return) starts from SGD 598. The terms is that you have to fly within a stipulated time line.

But no matter how i try.. you wont get SGD 598!!!

Its misleading marketing... I wonder how far can they get along with this???

Try harder, all this within 5 minutes of clicking through the booking page.

The same with $2 budget airline tickets. Perhaps they only offer 2 seats per flight but it is worth every marketing cents when someone who bought it brags about the cheap fare to his friends and colleagues.

WOW, thanks! AND I ALSO FOUND OUT THAT IF YOU TAKE THE FLIGHT WITHIN 4 days (i,e 26th July and return 30th July or 1st August to 5th AUG), the price is SGD 597.10. Anything more is multiple times more!!!

Anyway, Thanks 9V-Orion Images...

Why take M'sia Air to Shanghai. You still need to stopover in KLIA. Take China Eastern from Changi, direct flight and pretty chinese stewardess.

Cost reasons mah... Anyway, i am trying zuji... and it seems that there are better and cheaper airlines?

some joker told me the planes dont fill up full or have just enough fuel.
so if the flight is some how require plane to be in air longer than expected, a bit danger.
buy life insurance.

better than that fly sia

If you are planning to book a flight to the Expo 2010, better to do it fast before prices for the air tickets quadruple.

All commercial flights as required by civil aviation regulations must have enough reserve fuel to circle around the aerodrome of destination in a holding pattern pending approval to land in the event of an adverse weather condition and if unable to, divert to an alternate airport. The calculation for the amount of reserve fuel required must also take into account possible multiple landing attempts after a go-around or a rejected landing. :)

if cost is the reason, try take budget airline to shenzhen then take domestic flight to shanghai

Singapore to Shenzhen via tiger air - $145
Shenzhen to shanghai can get RMB500 - S$100

Total should be around $500 both ways

yeah, been doing this for some time.

SG > GZ > GZ (by train to SH)

or

SG> HK > HK (by train to SH). Unfortunately, seems like trains fr HK to SH runs every two weeks only...

I took Avianova but I don't see blonde air stewardesses in sexy bikini and swimsuit when I boarded aircraft. Its misleading marketing... I wonder how far can they get along with this???
