What is a TFCD?
seen it in some of the modelling posts

and it's only applicable for those XMM

xiao mao mee :bsmilie: Correction, Xiao-mei-mei to be exact...

lol ok so correct me if im wrong
TFCD is a deal between the photographer and the XMM ( i think u mean models lol)
so TFCD mean trade for CD (i saw on internet) which is the same meaning as time for CD
so i presume that the model gets paid by photos am i right?
and are these photos clean, meaning are they free of the photographer's trademark or is it still left there?

Erm... I'm inexperienced in that trade I'm afraid, even though I roughly know what it means... Whether free of watermark or not, only those who has made this kinds of arrangements before can help you... :bsmilie:

TFCD is a tool for model, photographer, stylist, makeup artist etc in collaborating to create portfolios.

Portofolio for both sides to be exact... Models need portofolios to present what kind of photos their "assets" can be used for, while photographers need portofolios to show their capabilities in photoshooting. By assets, I mean hands, legs, eyes, ears, feet, headshots, body shots - full/half... etc, etc - not the derranged meanings please...

in summary:

Photographer gets to shoot and gains experience without paying the model

Model gets to be shoot without paying the photographer

Win-Win situation for both since both get to increase their portfolio.

:)

and it's only applicable for those XMM

models can be old folks also leh... can sell as stock u know... $$$..

shoot xmm only waste your precious $$$ .. one session $50... 10x and one lens is gone!!!

TFCD normally no $$$... just give them the CD mahh

ya if tfcd xmm, then no need to pay $$..

i was refering to those paid xmm shoots... :) haha... ;p

No. XMM is a humorous term used here. Doesn't imply anything about any form of payment they receive. But in the context of TFCD nobody is professional, it's not meant to pay and to be paid for.

Hi Shawn, it appears that you seem to take an interest in xmm, erm I meant model photography. Here's a website with videos to explain about studio model photography. I believe you can apply some of the lighting technique and modeling pose to outdoor model photography too.
