Introduction:

One of the many problems I faced from using CS's search engines was the 20 second cool down. It is probably to prevent spamming and wasting the processing power of CS. Also, there is a tendency for the search to not bring up accurate results. As such, I shall present to you another way of searching, using the Google search engine.

Steps:

1: type in the phrase u wanna search, eg: Lingerie, since it so happens to be CS top search word:sweat:

2: add the phrase site: Clubsnap.com

What this essentially does is to limit the search variables from google to the pages from only Clubsnap.com.
In this case, Lingerie site: Clubsnap.com

3: if u need to simplify more, or make the search more detailed, there are always other commands you can add. such as:

-no to remove words that you do not want to appear in your searches, in this case the word no.

"no" to ensure that the word you are finding MUST appear. in this case the word no

So lets have a short practice. ans will be provided in the next post.

1)Search F2.8 sigma 70-200mm on clubsnap via google.

2)Search Allenleonhart on clubsnap via google.

3)Search benro bh-00 on clubsnap, removing words 200-ex via google.

4)Search for the compulsory words Labrador park, with variables night86mare on clubsnap via google.

Part 2

How to sort by chronological order?

To sort your results by date, just click on the "Sort by date" link in the upper-right corner of your results page.

You can also restrict your search results to include posts from a certain time period. To do so, just click the "Advanced Groups Search" link to the right of the search box on the Google Groups homepage. On this page, you'll have the option of specifying posts made between two dates, or posts made within the last 24 hours, week, month, 3 months, 6 months, or year.

Have fun practicing! This will aid u in your googling days!
Pls vote if this has been helpful. This will aid me if I'm ever gonna write another quick guide again thanks!

can short cut into typing "Clubsnap Lingerie"?

For very accurate results only in clubsnap, no.

if directly type, google attempts to get the results it think is closest to. it will retrieve other results from other websites too. u can try and check out to see the difference yourself;)

what site:clubsnap.com does is to limit the results to only show those from clubsnap.com, so it works like a forum search, in a faster and better way.

this is quite nice but for Chrome users like me it's pretty redundant :p. When I type "c" on the address bar, clubsnap.com will show up, then I press Tab, the address bar will change to "search clubsnap.com:" :D, then I'll just need to type in whatever I need to search for. The same goes for every website, be it google, yahoo mail, youtube, someone's blog, ultimateguitar.com, etc

Erm this is OT but the function I mention just takes you directly to the search results page and does the search input for you. The search engine it uses is the particular site's search engine, not google :p

Thanks for the writeup, it does help alot for those 3 character search such as 40D, 50D, D90 etc.

But as for those WTS forum, any method to arrange the search in chronological order, because we usually interested in the latest pricing.
