i no like rumours but the site mentioned 35mm but TS mentioned 85mm:dunno:

Most probably a 35mm. According to Nikon Rumours, 85mm supposed to come with VR. No indication of VR on the image.

If it is a 85mm f/1.4 G it would finally bring the price of the AF-D version down (let alone the price of the 85mm f/1.8)! If it is a 35mm f/1.4 G, ah well.. that one got to buy new.. the 35mm f/1.4 AIS needed a replacement long long long ago.. finally! If it is the rumored 50mm f/1.2, well, show and tell, not before the lens is tested at 1.2 by the early adopters to see whether AF really works.. if it is anything like the Canon one I think I will give it a miss..

Then again, one should give a year for the new lenses to be tested by the early adopters and point out if there are any flaws

Yup... thats a 85mm MFD..
35mm focus much closer than that.
