I was wondering the same thing? But first things first, how do you become a promoter? Where do one apply?

according to my friend who worked at IT shows before, he told me that there is a basic pay (super little like $20 iirc). For every product you sell, you get commission. Sell more = more pay.

$100 per computer.. no basic.. but depends on each vendor.. different vendor different way. some is got basic but little commission.

that was like 10yrs ago..

nowadays, guess it is more incline to have zero basic. So they just get as many promoters as possible, to spread their net. And since no need pay basic, it doesn't hurt them to get many.

Normally, each booth (say, xx brand), there are a few vendors selling it. So they are just competing with each other for business so the more promoter they get, the more coverage they get. And they just pay by the units sold. no risk.

Reading the classifieds 1~2 weeks/months before the computer fair should yield some results..

piang, 100 bucks per com? desktop lah.

I work there as promoter twice liao, and every megastore has booths at different brands. Every store has different basic pay (40/day or so), and different commission.

Mine was 40/day, ~10 plus bucks per laptop. But some other places i found out, was 50/day, ~15 plus bucks per laptop, same brand, different reseller.

If you want to work, go to HWZ and VRzone forums 1 month before IT fair and go to the employment section everyday. confirm got one

$100 per computer??? Not sure about the past. But definitely not this rate now

As others have said, depending on the company you working with. Some provide basic, some do not. Commission varies from company to company and product as well.

Also, some provide both lunch and dinner meals, some only lunch..

I am going to work there next year. Seems like quite good money for part time. I can probably sell 50 notebooks per day. So that is $540 per day. Does IT show goes on for 365 days? If so, I can make up to $197k per year. And since it is a part time, no need CPF???

about 1k for 4days - camera promoter

Waa 1k for selling 4days of camera? Thats not even half of Canon 50D :(
