1. in what area is critique to be sought?

I need help in terms of the aperture or lighting for this type of shots, also on the distance from the object, eg. amount of beach or shore i should include

2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?

I wanted to capture this sunset in a darker environment to allow us to see the image of the clouds and the horizon as it sets behind the mountians.

3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)

Evening sunset, romantic, contemplative and relaxing.
I came to this spot when I had some GF issues, then i saw this image which i think helps me relax and think clearly

4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture

I think its one of my favourite picture's I've taken, I know its noobish but it reminds me of the problem i had and how i faced it. many of my friends love this picture cause it captured an obvious image and showed it through a camera in a different way. what i mean is that when we saw the sunset, it was bright and glaring, but through the camera it can be seen clearly and the features around it is shown.

instead of feeling relax, i felt kinda warm and heat from the color tone and the cloud. mayb its just for me. happy shooting

I like the overall feel, nice try. Although I feel that the pic is a little dark. Perhaps can notch up the brightness a little.

Thanks guys,
much appreciated.

More comments please :D
haha

well! i like the feel of the overall picture, but it might be a little better if you could include more of the dramatic clouds then framing your shot with the leaves and trees, just a casual comment,im not very good with landscape shoots,so i'll just give whatever i think might be able to improve on.., :D
