You try posting two pics under the two different white balance for us to take a look?

To have a well controlled test, try putting a neutral gray or white piece of paper just beside your subject when you take the picture. We could then use that as reference for white balance. Or you could do custom white balance on the reference before taking the pic, and see what the results are like.

Just to check, the Kx can auto focus with all Pentax AF lens unlike Nikon D3000 which need AF-S lenses?

Yes. Pentax don't short change on entry level cameras.
