Overpriced YOG merchandise

I wanted to buy just a normal polo shirt Youth Olympic Games(YOG) merchandise at Orchard Road and found out that the Crocodile polo shirt cost S$39.90.

When I went to Mustafa centre, they were selling the official World Cup 2010 South Africa polo shirt at S$19.90.

Is there gold dust on the YOG polo shirt.

I looked at those stuff in AMK hub, they look horrible. Like just paste the badge on the shirt with non-matching colours and stuff like that

Hey, this is The Inanugeral event for YOG and somemore happening in SG so should be proud to be the first few to wear them around & there is a price to pay for that. It's $2 for the cloth, $5 for making & distributing, $5 profit and $27.90 for the PRIDE!

In actual fact $39.90 is not so ex compared to the prices of some Tees you get from Universal or Seaworld or Dreamworld, etc. I rest my case:devil:

I agree with this.

They can set any price they want, and they never force anyone to buy. In fact, the higher the better because I am sure there will be plentiful to lelong after the games. Maybe Giant will be selling them at $5 per T end of the year.

However for your information, WorldExpo T shirt is selling around Yuan 80 to 120 ($20 - $30) but you can get "unofficial" ones at around Y20 ($5). So our T shirts are not really that expensive.

I think the organisers are all rather greedy and short-term in their sponsorship games. I understand it is at least 6 figures to participate in the YOG. Where in Singapore do you get so many interested buyers for such ugly design products? National pride?

Even the Ministries need to buy tens of thousands of tickets to give to students so that the sales figures wont get so pitifully bad :dunno:

Yeah, and maybe they can create a SF4 movelist with pics also, then maybe can improve the cheer with more cool moves :thumbsup:
