Bro ZCA/DD123,
Seriously i doubt light tent will be of any use in food photography.
They tend to make lighting very flat and uniform. Although we should try to use the natural light as much as possible, dont think is likely due to the unforeseeable lighting conditions around the foodstall. Another more expensive alternative is Strobes. But Continous light dont seem too ideal as heat alone will effect the food at an alarming rate, the use of hot light might limit the time we have to take snaps of them.
Guess we boh pian have to use all our flashguns~!
I will bring along my lightstand + softbox as main source of lighting instead of light tent.
(Bro DD123, u bring the light tent, its ok, i provide another viable option to improve our lighting setup..heee :lovegrin
Think some more compact mini-lightstands with shoot through umbrellas, white foam board, Relector for flash to bounce back on etc will be more ideal.
What matter most is we need to try to diffuse Instanteous flash light burst the more we could. Shiny spots (hot spots) on the food itself will render the end product unflattering. we will need a more natural appearance, as if it seems like no flash employed. Tough eh? Me still new in this field, thus need to experiment. haa..
But look forward to the good food~!!
Btw Bro ZCA how tall is the ceiling in the stall area? And what color? Bouncing our flashguns off those walls/ceiling give u a larger light source and more soothing diffused efffect as well..
