hi there. It is just a feature not found in Kx. But i do believe this feature is on the K7. u can still set your own af point in kx or u can use center spot af just that the af point will not blink in the viewfinder. Seriously it is not the feature u die die must have. Its just a feature u feel shiok having it but does not really drastically improve your photo taking.... That all my personal views.

thanks poseur... i am thinking if i should get the kit 2. 50 -200 is for birds, cleon bro told me... so if i want to take those..you know like wedding pics kind... couple sharp, back ground blur, what lens should i use? is the kit 18-50 enough?

yes start with the kit2 50-200. It is super value for money. so you want those bokeh effect? All lens including the kit lens can produce bokeh effect but of course the kit lens is more mutli purpose. For better bokeh maybe have to consider prime lens. Anyway you should start with the kit lens. learn the basics of dslr then "discover" what u style you want to shoot then maybe upgrade your lens later.

poseur yah i want bokeh !! if i dont intend to take birds, i can save money on the kit2 right?

50-200mm not only taking bird....u can take street candid with tat too, if got the money own both the 18-50 and 50-200.

you

sorry dont really know what do u mean by save money. Regarding the birding or non birding. I do feel the 50-200 is useful to have as. I also never bird but i use my tele for xmm shots....ahaaa

thanks gummy.. what is street candid? btw 200/50 = 4 x zoom. so this is the main difference compared to 55/18 = 3X zoom right?

ok boss ! read and done i need more info on lens any idea where can read? BTW will the K-x allow me to use the bokeh effect before i shoot?

Taking pictures of people on the street without them knowing you are taking them . . .

18-55mm is our kit lens. WE do not count X zoom but by focal lengths . . .

X Zoom is for PnS which is very different from SLR/DSLR.

18mm is our wide angle vs 55mm at standard zoom. 50-200mm and 55-300mm are 2 other lenses with different focal lengths.

Can be done. Google on "Bokeh" to understand what is really is.

18mm to about 24mm at F3.5 you can have your "bokeh" . . .

If you wanna shoot birds i'll recommend you to get the 55-300mm kit as it has longer reach.Kit lens is 18-55mm not 18-50mm:)
