It is not right to sell a '3rd Hand' lens as a '2nd hand' lens

and still made some profit after some time of usage?

;p

Its a mutual agreement. Why not?
I would not pass by a chance to by an A*135/1.8 at $2k even if the buyer had bought it a $1k :D

and still made some profit after some time of usage?

;p

i bought my fa 50mm f/1.4 for $350 odd new.

now the price has risen in the brand new market to $500+, not sure exactly how much.

most people are selling for $450-$500. ( i think )

are you telling me i should be a kind buddha and sell it for $300?

because this kind buddha will see that same lens going for $450-$500 next.

if i buy a carl zeiss lens off ebay uk in an auction for $20 because of my godlike sniping skills, and everyone else in clubsnap is selling it for $450, i should sell it for $15?

please sell the hdb resale unit you bought a few years back at a lower price at a lower price now, despite the fact that everyone is charging double what you would charge if you did that.

Good to know. I don't feel so guilty then. :bsmilie:

Not looking for massive profits. As long as can cover cost after a year or so of usage, I'm happy.

Anyway most people treat lens like babies with extreme care (exception for journalist in warzones conditions).

:D

of cos its ok :)
but profit is not profit unless u find another thats cheaper.

eg. bought 24-70L @ 1.2k 2nd hand,
price now is easily three hundred more.
do i make that amount?
not if u consider my replacement cost.
but yes if not going to replace unit.

:D

only time when you should feel bad, is when you do it deliberately.

i.e. your pure existence on clubsnap involves snooping around B&S looking for cheap deals, and then you buy already, happily sell it for profit. and you do it multiple times.

i think this is what is known as "trading", and will get your account banned.

Price tags with condition, not n-hands the item has gone thru... if not, why are ppl still paying sky price for "collector f1.2 lens" or "rare vintage collector ..." etc...

Oh boy, someones bored again...

sometimes the more the things get old the more 'worth' it gets:)

Not worth the time and effort to trade lens.
Very siong to meet buyers who likes to change venue, change time, change mind.
If can buy what I want at killer prices at B&S, I'm more than happy to keep the lens or body for a good long time.
Please don't ban me, me no trader. ;p

I also think the same.

Please don't ban me, I just copy what Paranoid wrote.

but at the end of the day, if I get such a good deal and after 6 months can still sell below market BnS rate yet make a profit, what's wrong? It just means I really took the time to stalk out my item.

Wildcat, Thank you for your support.
Next time, if you want to buy my 3rd hand lens, I will give you very good killer price.
I won't earn from you yah. :bsmilie::bsmilie:

I compare your signature and my signature and even if you are selling third hand price, beyond my entry level budget. OT a bit but we're both Bishaners also :bsmilie:

If you're going for outing, pls give me a lift.
