Let's say you accidentally deposited 10k into your credit card and you never spent more than $500 a month on CC, how do you spend it without wiping the card, and nor drawing cash and pay 5% service charges?

Can pay mobilephone/internet/SCV/PUB bills?

How to undo the mistake with minimal bank charges?

no swiping of card? easy... look at eBay, Amazon, etc.

can also sign up to pay for your insurance premium and charity donations.

My goal is to undo the mistake with minimum overhead charges.

How do you "accidentally" overpay your credit card bill by 10K anyway?

my mistake.. i tot when the CC has + balance, I can withdraw in SG with no charges.
later I found out it was 5%. I am not rich and this 5% means a lot.

The bank must be very happy with you... 10k probable revenue to the bank, with a 5% confirm "non refundable deposit" should you decide to withdraw the 10k.

You can put bills on yoru credit card if the company allows it... at least I know Starhub and Pacnet does. I believe there are other that do too.

Next is to pay everything by credit card where possible... petrol, shopping, airfare, hotel, etc.

You can also see if anyone is willing to give you cash for you paying on their behalf, e.g if I'm buying an air ticket, that you pay for me with yoru credit card and I pay you in cash.

On 2nd thoughts, you should just pay that $500 and take out your 9.5k. Its just 500... you can eat grass for a month and you'll get back your $500. Take it as tuition fee. If not, would you rather let the bank use your 10K as you slowly take about 20 months to finish using it?

nobody gives you 10K for nothing

I think the more accurate statement should be, banks don't provide free services. =)

 too expensive!

call the bank as say that it is a mistake
say you don't need/want it

make them take it back and reverse the charges

can just leave it there and spend slowly, the bank WILL pay you interest somewhere from 0 - ?%.
