Anyone notice this? Had a strong smell of Kerosene in the air today. Observed this around CBD area, as well as east coast area.

yep was at cityhall. it was especially strong during lunch time. the weather is so hot. temp went up to 34 degrees. i dont remember singapore like this.

Could it be due to the oilspill that the smell is coming from????

My friend complaint about the smell around east coast area. I was around TPY and somerset but did not smell anything so I am guessing it must have been from the sea.

sea or no sea. it is bad enough the weather is super hot and humid. now got to put up with kerosene air. i am going to order myself a bubble suit.

There was a collision between MT Bunga Kelana III (IMO 9178331) and MV Waily (IMO 8221478) at approximately 0603 hours (local time) on 25th of May 2010 in the Maritime Port Authority (MPA) Traffic Separation Scheme (TSS) of the Straits of Singapore, 13 kilometres southeast of Changi East. ;)

An estimate 2,500 tonnes of crude oil is beloved to have been spilled and that could have explained the smell. The Aframax class oil tanker, MT Bunga Kelana III (IMO 9178331), received the brunt of the impact and was damaged rather significantly.
