King Tiger's World War 2 Battlefield Tour (Europe)

Hello Everyone

My wife and I will be going for a holiday trip to Europe on 11 May 2010.
Instead of the usual sightseeing holiday, it will be a full detailed battlefield tour where we will visit World War 2 battlefield sites.

I love war history and the battlefield tour is only possible with the support from my wife,
King Tigress, since most ladies aren’t very keen into such tour.
Her full support, assistance, patience and understanding make this impossible trip possible.

Since my previous trip to Europe in Oct 2008, where I have taken the photos of the Real King Tiger, Panther and Sherman tanks;
I have notice there is a lot of “worth to see” battlefield location in Europe, where many major and local battles were fought during World War II.

Soon, after returning to Singapore, inspiration and ideas comes into my mind.
After doing intensive battlefield study, planning and research for the past 2 years,
I have draw out an invasion plan for this trip.

Yes, there are many annual events taken place, especially in Jun and Sep,
but I am likely to miss it due to the time the event take place and the time I will be there.

I've just returned from there as well for my hobby so I can understand the issue with wife :bsmilie: but visiting WW2 sites are another thing altogether. 3 cheers for your Mrs too!

Yes, I do an intensive reading and reserach for the past 2 years on the history of some of the indviduals combatants (boths Axis and Allies Force),
battle site and their weaponary (tanks, guns and etc).

For the actual battle site, I printed out the copies of World War II photos and bring over to Europe, so that when I was there, I can cross reference the past and present site.

Example as below. (The Tiger tank is locate at the present site of the green color shop on the right)
