Hi everyone, I am a Singaporean but has been living out of Singapore for the last 15 years. Everytime I am back in Singapore, my favourite food is Bak Chor Mee. Any foodies can give me the recipe for this wonderful dish would be appreciated. Thank you.

There are tons of BKM recipes posted but the key lies in what kind of noodles and suaces you can get your hands on.

Have a look and try out the simpler recipes first, then modify to suit your liking. :)

hehehe.......dun buy the sauce lah...make your own :p

i try to make "lo shui" myself as well...;-)

Ferment soya sauce and the other base sauces at your place ah?

I think the neighbors will call your local environmental agency and report a bio-hazard attack! :bsmilie:

then after that i keep adding additionally cooked "essence" and boil them up and then bottle and keep doing that every time i cook until when its time to seperate out the sediments from the sauce :)
my "accelerated" lo shui making :D

LOL!

You never say mah! Only say make your own. :bsmilie:

Hmm ... have you tried DIYing Chow ToFu over there? :sweatsm: :p

ts - dont bother making your own. too much work. go out and eat!!!

the one ortega is talking about is located at #01-08 Block 85, Bedok North Street 4, Singapore 460085. it is eaten soupy with minced pork.

then there's another famous bak chor mee, tai hwa at beach road which is best eaten dry. http://ieatishootipost.sg/2006/11/tai-hua-bak-chor-mee-everybody-queue-up.html

Thank Pokieman for the tip. Recipe in foodmadewithlove sounds interesting. will try next weekend. As for the rest, thanks for the tips and I am glad that we have got Bak Chor Mee fans.
