Just wanted to ask which one would you choose and why?:dunno:

BOTH

'Value for Money' decides for me, irrespective of brands

it think this topic have been polled and discussed before.

for me its depends on individual lenses and brands

some 3rd party lenses are a good buy but not others

sometimes original lesnes do not perform as well as 3rd party ones

it all depends.

I have been searching for the topic but no avail. So i ask again.
I have a D90 using Tamron 18-270mm, Almost all the picture I took is slightly blur.
I uses my Kits lens 18-105mm the picture is fine.:dunno:
Is it the 18-270mm no good?????

Finally Still deciding whether to get a Tamron 17-50mm or Nikon 17-50mm...

What is your shutter speed when using the 18-270?Or maybe your 18-270 has dust/fungus or haze in it,so you claim its blur?

BOTH.

Nothing to do with brands. All to do with value.

did u use tripod for the shots? although it's 3rd party lens, the IQ shouldnt be that poor..

Could be a thousand and one reasons.

-Did you buy your lens used or new? Might be something wrong with the lens.
- Might be a very unstable tripod. This lens is a lot heavier than your kit lens. So if the tripod is unstable, the weight of this lens may cause more instability, especially when there is wind. Also cars driving by can also affect the vibrations in the tripod.
- from the exit, I see F11 and 15 seconds for pic 1. So we can rule out small aperture diffraction.

yea..i have checked the exif too, nothing wrong with the setting

Yes I am using a steady tripod, and using my bag as a weight to weight the tripod. Should not be the problem

My Tammy IQ is much blur than my kits lens, something might be wrong, if I send in for service will they tell me "is normal just a slightly blur"??

Is this still consider Blur???

I think the comparison is not good. Choosing quality comparing a kit lens and a tamron 17-50mm, I think the tammy will be the winner. So the poll should be more precised on the lens itself rather than just the brand.

so you mean all the pic i took from tammy is good and kit lens will be more blur!!!

That not wat I said. Your image taken with whch lens Tamron 18-270mm f?? or Tamron 17-50mm f2.8? Ican tell you that IQ for these 2 lens is worlds apart.

all the pic I took was using Tamron 18-270mm F9-F11, you can check with EXIF
