From my test, its just about as fast as my Extreme III sdhc card but could be my camera too slow to make full use of such a card.

I only realize recently that Sandisk's Extreme III have been reclassed as Class 10 cards, not Class 6 anymore.

got 3 versions though...

First gen Extreme III (20mb/s marked on card, silver background black Sandisk wording) - Class 6

Second gen Extreme III 30mb/s Edition - Class 10

Current Extreme III (red background white Sandisk wording) - Class 10

mine is the 2nd gen one.

so far my opinion is that if intend to do continuous burst, still will need a second dslr while waiting for the first to write the photos from buffer to the card itself.

will be lovely for high res video recording.

Nice!

hmmm talking bout this i haven't test the speed difference for class 4, 6 and 10... my guesstimate for the class 10 one is about 2seconds+ for 4 raw files...

the speed diff i had encountered is the time to jam the buffer... under same setting (quite complicated that left only 7 raw)...

Class 4 - 7 shots jam
Class 6 - 11 shots jam
Class 10 - haven't get to jam it (don't burst that much nowadays)

Mmm.... good for camera which could make use of its speed....

sorry i cant see the pic from my office, but i guess its not a sandisk? is it 32GB for $139?

I bought a sandisk class10 8GB from the show last dec at $79.90. 16GB went for $139.90. still the i would prefer sandisk.

I bought one. It works so far. And yes, it is cheap compare to the usual Sandisk of equivalent or even less specs. Don't ask me about speed - I don't really care about speed :)

Thanks to TS for the tip!

Hmm. Not too happy about transcend reliability so far though. At least this one is Patriot, so far their RAM is rock solid.

I have got my money refund as the probelm still exist even i changed to a brand new memory card.

Sandisk still the best as writing speed is far more faster than Patriot class 10 which i did a test.

By the way, i am refering in shooting raw for multi-shot.
No problem when i tested it with my K20D.
