Q about hoya filters

does that means i dun not have to take in and out the filter ?
im using a 18mm-55mm and 55-300mm wad kind of filters should i use to protect the lens and for better photos

Just get a regular UV filter will do if u just want to protect the lens and the filter rim itself will have the 'UV' printing.

Since u're using 18-55 no point getting a CPL as the lens front barrel rotates when focusing.

rule of thumb, the more glass in front of the lens...the picture iq is more or less degraded already so it depends on what you hope to achieve.

being made for film camera, uv filter does nothing substantial for digital camera other then protect the front element of the lens from getting dirty or even prevent breakage.

however there are several grades/kinds of filter of which a simple search will avail the various varieties especially CPL filter.

better photos depends on user. nicer photos on the other hand is subjective from viewer to viewer.

I myself use a combination of hood + filter for my work lens.

Ya go get the CPL. Oh there are also ND filters. You should also buy ND 2 to ND 10.

Marumi is an excellent choice between performance and price. My 62mm MC-UV costs less then $30 and so far i have no complains.

55-300? Where did you got that lens from? You don't need a CPL for a lens, you need a CPL in certain situations and for certain purposes. Please spend some time with homework. Helps a lot and you might find the answer faster than waiting here. The advantage of UV protection for a lens is debatable. Never seen a lens with sunburn. Some Sigma lenses have been reported with 'skin rashes' and peeling. But that occurred at positions where no filter will help. Your images will not need any UV filters. The amount of UV passing the lens can be neglected when shooting here in SG. If you need to protect the lens from your clumsiness then any UV or clear filter will do - or a good lens hood.

You ask for protection for some cheap lenses and even consider B+W but you want to scrimp on memory cards? really funny way you got here. Save the money, get Hoya filter. Use the saved money to get a proper card for your images from a local shop. You can easily replace a filter but the pictures of your holidays saved on a cheap memory card (fake?) are gone. Your choice.
