Hi people,

I tried calling the Visa centre but kept getting routed around on recorded voice messages which does not address my question.

Thinking of going China in June for a month, and this clause was found on their website.

"Those who apply for tourism in China should provide round-trip airline tickets and hotel reservation, for family visit should provide certificate of relationship."

Anyone have experience of them processing the Visa without the above documents? Cause I thought there is a possibility of land entry.

Will keep trying to call them for now.

Unless you are a foreigner, Singaporeans do not need visas for China.

Yup.

Would you know if they refuse to process if I do not have documents to show the exact dates when I will be entering or leaving (e.g. plane reservations) China?

As in a line from the website

"Those who apply for tourism in China should provide round-trip airline tickets and hotel reservation...."

I guess I would make a trip down personally to the Visa Centre and chance it.

i think confirmation of travel arrangements are required for the processing. they need to know when you are going in and coming out. if you have booked your holiday with a travel agency, can always request them for the flight itinerary.

Yup, but my trip would be a solo backpacking and not through an agency.

Was even considering crossing over to China using land borders (through South East Asia), so was wondering how feasible it would be since there will be no airplanes (thus no flight tickets) involved.

The trick is get those air ticket which allow you to change return flight from any destination. You might need to top up if the flight you are taking is more expensive.

When you pass through their immigration office, they will stamp the date you left China.
